In honor of the Oakland Athletics's season opener this evening, I decided to begin my own new "inning" of life. Some people begin new careers to enrich their spirit, some to fatten their wallet; I chose to expand my horizons "for the love of the game".
King Richard will begin his quest for the Cy Young award tonight. He too begins a new quest at greatness. I am sending him positive vibes for a healthy season. Let us all pray that the past two season's injuries have disappointed him enough to get his act together and strengthen that shoulder during the off season. If not... I might just have to go back to loving the A's for Dan Johnson and his amazing cameo in the "Ghostride My Volvo" video.
